Pocket Park

The existing Cherry & Birch trees were kept and have remained a huge feature with their intricate and textured bark.

Meadow turf was laid underneath the trees as a biodiverse alternative to a standard grass lawn. It is rich in meadow grasses and flora, such as Common sorrel, Wild red clover, Meadow buttercup, Daisy and Wild marjoram.

The middle section of the garden is packed with perennials to create an "enhanced meadow". This area marks the footprint of an old pub and is highlighted by the vivid colours and mixed textures of this planting scheme. Flowers appear in succession and are planted in a matrix pattern so that the whole space ebbs and flows throughout the year.
